The beauty of the lake was before me and I stood on a bridge overlooking it. So many people were out and about that day and stopped to say hello, that along with visits to all the other painters that day made it absolutely therapeutic!! The light produced interesting shapes in the water and the colors were captivating. The blue against the variety of greens was stunning and i wanted to capture its overwhelming beauty.

 

 

This piece was created using the palette knife alone. More and more I am finding this to be a great way to capture the freshness of the colors without becoming too fussy.
