]]> This piece was born from dark disruption.  Seeing roots in a bottle I had on a window sill, I was reminded me that we all have roots and they be viewed as something holding us down but those same roots can deliver new life.  Life is being formed above her, not yet distinct but promising fresh blooms.

Being surprised one morning to find myself in half shadow and half light I thought how fitting - Trying to keep that shadow from overtaking and trying to incorporate it fully so I am not overtaken by those dark places. This painting was showcased along with 50 other amazing artists in the SFVACC’s “Art of Creative Aging IV” exhibit along with two other paintings of mine that showed 3 generations.
