So excited to be included in this California Art Club show! What an honor for my painting to be hanging alongside artists I have looked to for inspiration and support.
I remember the amazing blooms on this morning. They were so beautiful bathed in the dramatic light that my attention went to the trail rather than the ocean waves hitting the rocks right next to me. The light changed so fast and so it was thrilling to try and get that impression quickly. I imagine walking up that trail and seeing the gorgeous view from above, I was really drawn to the strong lights and darks created by that time of day and the pop of yellow and green on the hills.
